What is Papaya Assist?
Papaya Assist is an AI chatbot you can add to any website. It answers your visitors' questions using documents you upload — no coding required.
How do I add the chatbot to my website?
After signing up, you'll get an embed code snippet. Paste it into your website's HTML (just before the closing </body> tag) and the chat widget will appear automatically.
How do I add the chatbot to WordPress?
Install the Papaya Assist plugin from the WordPress plugin directory. Once activated, go to Settings → Papaya Assist, enter your Tenant ID, and click Save. The chat widget will appear on your site — no code editing needed.
What file types can I upload?
You can upload PDF, TXT, and common document formats. The chatbot will use the content in these files to answer visitor questions.
What happens when I reach my message limit?
Once your message limit is reached, the chatbot will stop responding until your billing cycle resets. You can upgrade your plan at any time for a higher limit.
How does the billing cycle work?
Your billing cycle starts on the day you created your account and resets monthly on that same day. For example, if you signed up on the 15th, your messages reset on the 15th of each month.
Can I change my plan?
Yes. Go to your pricing page (accessible from your dashboard) to upgrade or downgrade at any time. Changes take effect immediately.
How do I update my chatbot's knowledge?
Upload new documents or remove old ones from your dashboard. Click "Re-index" after making changes so the chatbot picks up the latest content.
